It could be said that building an addition is like writing a novel. (Of course I say this because we are building an addition, and I am beginning a novel.) There is an idea and it builds in the imagination. If the concept takes hold, and finances can be put in place, research begins and plans are laid. Then the construction starts and there is no turning back, rough work first, filling in later, and in the end the final, finishing touches. We're at the rough stage still. Take a look.
