North Shore and District Fire Department New Year's lobster supper

For three years now, the local volunteer firefighters in our North Shore and District Fire Department host a New Year's lobster supper for the St. Ann's Bay and surrounding area community. Along with a happy hour (nice red wine this year, Don, thanks) with snacks and great visiting opportunities, the meal features tables laid with linen (and plastic bibs), fresh lobster (of course -- thanks to Clearwater for their help), rolls, potato salad, deveilled eggs, salady bits, chocolate mints & toothpicks (always a good idea with lobster), and dessert, everything homemade by volunteers. It's a labour-intense event, and the people who make it happen work very hard for us. This year, Santa made a visit to distribute gifts exchanged between fire department members.

So, I'd like to thank the North Shore and District Fire Department, and most particularly all of their hard-working and able helpers, for everything they have done, and do, for our community. Well done all!
